What We Do

Spires is a grassroots charity in South London working with people impacted by homelessness. Our support workers provide non-judgemental advice and guidance to people who are facing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless. We support them to secure and maintain housing that is suitable for their needs, so they can leave homelessness behind for good.

We operate day centres, drop-ins and outreach across Lambeth, Wandsworth, and Croydon, where we are expanding our services to meet the needs of the growing number of people impacted by homelessness in the area.

Who We Support

The people we work with often face complex, intersecting challenges: poor physical and mental health, substance dependency, domestic abuse, poverty and exploitation. Many of our clients are excluded from mainstream services, including newly-granted refugees, people with no recourse to public funds, and women involved in street-based sex work.

In 2025, we supported 812 people across all our services. We will have reached at least 1,000 people in 2026.
