At CHILDREN 1ST, our vision is a happy, healthy, safe and secure childhood for every child and young person in Scotland.
For 130 years, as the RSSPCC and now as CHILDREN 1ST, we have been putting Scotland’s CHILDREN 1ST. Children today still need us and CHILDREN 1STneeds you.
Every year thousands of children and families seek our support. Some of the children we work with have suffered physical, sexual or emotional abuse. Others are struggling to cope with poverty, parental substance misuse, bullying, family breakdown and chaotic home lives.
We offer support by delivering services in homes and communities across Scotland helping vulnerable children to thrive safely within their families. We campaign for every child in Scotland to enjoy a better start in life and for no child to grow up in fear of abuse and violence. Then, now and for another 130 years, as long as Scotland’s children need us.
Our services operate across Scotland, including our free national helpline ParentLine Scotland, the confidential helpline and email service for anyone caring for or concerned about a child.
Almost half of our income is raised from voluntary donations.
