Why address each other as ‘Sirs’ or ‘Mesdames’? It is surely more courteous to use the name that we call ourselves.
If I receive a letter signed by ‘QualitySolicitors Talbots’, then I should naturally start my reply with ‘Dear QualitySolicitors Talbots’.
