MPs have backed the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers campaign to reform the law on psychiatric injury.
To date, 14 MPs have signed an early day motion to say the current law for people who witness the death or injury of a loved one is ‘restrictive and unfair’.
Parties now have 56 days to file documents and make applications without seeking court permission.
Majority of justices rule that, if arrangement has reasonable prospect of success, costs can be awarded.
