Sikh solicitors will no longer have to remove articles of faith when meeting clients in detention centres, after the Ministry of Justice settled a claim for religious discrimination brought by Amrik Bilkhu of GT Stewart Solicitors.
Solicitors punished on costs after it was not made clear claim was unsuitable for low-value protocol.
Defendant had failed to show collision was bogus but got dishonesty through on extent of injuries.
Defendant successfully sees off £1,200 claimed for brief fee and skeleton argument.
