Gregg King is an independent SEO consultant who works only with UK law firms and solicitors.
He has worked in search since 2001. Since going independent in 2020, legal has been the only sector he works in. Every engagement is run by Gregg personally: no account managers, no juniors and no tie-in contracts.
Most firms don’t need more website traffic. They need more of the right enquiries: people searching for a conveyancing solicitor, a family lawyer, a personal injury claim, employment advice, wills and probate or commercial support, who are ready to instruct.
SEO for solicitors
Local SEO, so your firm shows in Google Maps and the map pack for the towns you serve. Technical and on-page work, so Google can crawl and understand the site. Content that answers the questions clients ask before they instruct, and Google Business Profile management. More on SEO for solicitors.
AI search visibility
More people now ask ChatGPT, Google’s AI Overviews, Gemini, Copilot, Claude and Perplexity to recommend a solicitor before they look at a website. Gregg tests what these assistants say about your firm, checks it against your SRA register entry, and fixes the sources they draw on. More on AI search visibility for law firms.
Free AI visibility audit
This is a nine-section audit of how your firm appears across Google search, Google Maps and the main AI assistants. It’s cross-referenced against your SRA register entry, ReviewSolicitors profile, Legal 500 entry (where listed) and Google Business Profile, and delivered within 72 hours as a prioritised plan partners can read. It’s free of charge. Request the free audit.
Website design for law firms
Gregg also designs and rebuilds law firm websites, built for search from the start rather than fixed afterwards. More on law firm website design.
Original research
In August 2026 Gregg published two studies of UK legal search. Across 24 consumer searches such as “divorce solicitor near me”, Google showed an AI Overview on 5 and the local map pack on 20. Across 12 research-stage legal questions, an AI Overview appeared on all 12. Read the UK Law Firm AI Visibility Report 2026 and the AI Overview Citation Study.
Within the SRA rules
Everything Gregg recommends respects the SRA Code of Conduct and Transparency Rules, including rule 8.8 on publicity being accurate and not misleading. He gives no guarantees of rankings, and uses no tactics that put a firm’s regulatory standing at risk.
