Registered Charity No: 1113172 (England & Wales).
The Little Princess Trust provides real-hair wigs, free of charge, to boys and girls throughout the UK and Ireland that have sadly lost their own hair through cancer treatment and other illnesses.
The charity was started in 2006 in memory of 5 year old Hannah Tarplee who passed away the previous year. Since its inception, the Trust has given away over 2,600 free wigs to poorly children.
Finding out that your child has cancer is a traumatic experience. This is made worse by the knowledge that they are likely to lose their hair as a result of treatment. The Little Princess Trust is here to help.
The charity receives many cards and letters from boys and girls describing the positive difference a real-hair wig has made to their life. It improves their self-esteem and lifts both the child and their family.
The Little Princess Trust receives no formal funding and therefore relies solely on donations from kind supporters in the community. Wigs cost the charity on average £350 to £500 each. This cost is never passed on to the family. Legacies to the Little Princess Trust ensure that this vital assistance is maintained.
With your help, the Little Princess Trust can continue to make a real difference to these poorly children's lives.
