The UK’s third largest soft drinks manufacturer Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I (SBF GB&I) has appointed Ewa Chappell as general counsel.
Chappell takes over the role from Mary Guest who has been promoted to deputy legal director for Suntory Beverage & Food Europe (SBFE). Guest led the first GB&I legal team for five and a half years.
Chappell has a background in global supply chains and will be key in facilitating SBF GB&I’s sustainability ambitions.
SBF GB&I chief operating officer Carol Robert commented: 'Ewa is an incredibly strong addition to my leadership team with a huge breadth of experience and will lead the legal function and collaborate closely with our European parent company.'
Chappell added: 'This is a really exciting change for me. Sustainability was a key part of my previous role so I was looking for an opportunity to bring my legal expertise in this area, and wider background in corporate and commercial law, to a business that is serious about its sustainability journey.'
SBF GB&I is well-known for its iconic brands such as Lucozade Energy, Lucozade Sport, Ribena and Orangina.
