I read with interest Andrea Minichiello Williams’s article on the victimising of Christians.

With the exception of the Johns case, which was appallingly reported by the BBC, I agree entirely with everything she says. It may not seem important to many that Christians in this country are being penalised for their views.

However, once a society gives up a belief in moral absolutes, that society ends in disaster. History is littered with many examples, including the fall of Rome.

One day, moreover, it may be your belief that is the subject of attack.

We live in dark and difficult days, and not just because of the economic problems of which we are all aware.
