Accident Group signs up Rowe Cohen to vet claims
A Manchester firm has entered into a five-year contract to vet the merits of claims dealt with by claims management company Accident Group, it emerged last week.
Rowe Cohen will provide an initial assessment of cases, and has expanded its staff by 20 and its office space by 4,000 square foot in preparation for the estimated 150 million worth of claims it will now deal with over the next year.
This is in addition to the personal injury and commercial work the firm already does for the company.Accident Group's chief executive, Mike Watson, said it drafted in Rowe Cohen to take on some of the workload because business has been thriving recently.Partner Anthony Dennision said he welcomed the closer association with The Accident Group despite negative media attention directed at such companies.
'I don't accept that these people are ambulance-chasers.
That's an emotive term.
All they are doing is bringing attention to the rights people are entitled to,' he said.Paula Rohan
