The new president of the Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX) has well and truly laid to rest the, dare we say it, slightly staid image of her branch of the profession.

Rosemarie Cowely has broken 'the mould of the usual academic president', as ILEX itself put it, by revealing a passion for chains (of office, at least) and leather.

Or at least leather-clad legs to place around powerful beasts, in this case a Suzuki 650 SV.

She also enjoys scuba diving and target shooting, apparently; and as if her life isn't daring enough, she then finds time to work in the conveyancing department of leading Southampton law firm Moore & Blatch.
