Balanced view

The letter from A Science comments upon your recent article on Newcastle, which he states simply focuses on practices according to their size (see [2001] Gazette, 1 March, 19).By coincidence in the same edition is an article on Nottingham which, with the notable exception of the local president's firm, does exactly the same.

My own firm, while small, probably acts for more leisure PLCs than any other solicitor's practice in the country yet we were not given a mention.

Surely there are enough legal magazines concentrating on large business firms dealing with regional, national or international issues? Shouldn't the Gazette try to give a balanced report covering firms both large and small? Jeremy Allen, Poppleston Allen, Nottingham
