Can't get enough of your law, babe:
The London Trainee Solicitors Group probably does not realise just how appropriate the choice of Barry White (or, should we say, White-Book) was for its summer party.
Popsi Williams, a 'Stars in their Eyes' winner (right), stood in for the great man at the lavish celebration, which also recognised how the outgoing committee, led by Peter Carter-Ruck & Partners lawyer Suzanne Valentine, had put their 'first, their last, their everything' into their jobs.
The great man's songs have a resonance for trainee and newly qualified solicitors, for example: 'I'll do for you anything you want me to (so long as you offer me a job after qualification)'; 'I'm (newly) qualified to satisfy you'; and the classic 'Don't make me wait too long (I've got to get that pizza back to my supervising partner)'.
