As author of one of the new 'Tesco Law' (LawPack) legal guides, Standing up to Rogue Traders, £3.99 (see [2004] Gazette, 24 June, 1), I find it exquisite fun that my book is there on the site where I buy my family groceries on line.
As a trade mark lawyer, I also enjoy the delicious issues arising from the use of the term 'Tesco Law' itself. However, more seriously, no one should see cheap, accessible legal services/ products of this kind as a threat. They can free us to do difficult and interesting, intellectually challenging law and also fill a huge gap for all those people who, through lack of money or even because they simply do not know where to look, effectively have little access to justice at all. Come on down, the price is right.
