Celebrity restaurateur Marco Pierre White has had his High Court claim against City firm Withers struck out by Mr Justice Eady.
White (pictured) was seeking damages for an alleged breach of privacy from Withers, his wife’s lawyers during their divorce proceedings. White claimed Withers had instructed his wife to intercept his private correspondence for production at the matrimonial hearing.
In a judgment published last week, Eady found no evidence to support this.
Richard Green, partner at north-west firm Hill Dickinson, which advised White, said: ‘Our client is now considering an appeal.’ City firm Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, advising Withers, declined to comment.
