In her recent column, Janet Paraskeva mentions the demonstration of the 'judicial templates' that Richard Stevens and I gave to the Law Society's civil litigation committee (see [2004] Gazette, 29 July, 16). I write to correct a misunderstanding.
The provision to practitioners of versions of the templates that judges use is not strictly an initiative of the Association of District Judges, although I know the association wishes us well.
The templates will be provided from 1 September 2004 by Judicial Templates. Richard and I are directors, following our retirement as district judges.
They will be made available through a Web site: www.ClickDocsLegal.com.
