Clifford Chance trainee scoops top solicitor award

Camilla Bustani of Clifford Chance was named National Trainee Solicitor of the Year last week at a ceremony in London.

Ms Bustani specialises in international telecoms and e-commerce, particularly in developing countries where she works to build telecom legislation.

Other winners at the ceremony - which was organised by legal publishers Barker Brooks Media and sponsored by Chambers and Partners - included: Renuka Kukanesen of Bird & Bird as the trainee most likely to succeed in the dot.com era; Lee Thomas of British Telecom as the most likely to be head of legal within five years; Lucy Gilbanks of Linklaters & Alliance as the most likely to take on the QCs at their own game; Vicky Hau of McDermott Will & Emery as the most likely to succeed on both sides of the Atlantic; Chris Gawne of Alexander Harris as the most likely to make a difference to the profession; and Roger Brine from Amhurst Brown Colombotti as the best mentor.
