Conveyancing and land law committee vacanciesThe Law Societys conveyancing and land law committee is responsible for the Societys work on law and legal services in the areas of conveyancing and land law.
The committees tasks are:l To give practice advice and guidance to solicitors;l To represent practitioners interests and those of their clients in responding to consultation papers produced by external bodies and other initiatives;l To promote improvements in land law and practice.The committee currently has vacancies for three members and seeks applications from candidates actively involved in conveyancing and land law practice.
Applicants should have an active interest in land law reform and practice issues experience in the fields of residential conveyancing and local government/housing association work would be particularly welcome.
They should be able to contribute ideas and practical experience through attendance at committee meetings (five or six per year) and working parties.
