Court omen Sadly, you read it here first.
The attack on judge Ann Goddard the other week was spookily predicted by barrister Neil 'Mystic Meg' Addison no less than four years ago.
Proposing that a uniformed sheriff officer service be created to have primary responsibility for court security, Mr Addison warned in the Gazette in 1997: 'Politicians waited until a teacher was stabbed before they took the issue of knives in schools seriously.
I hope they will not wait until a magistrate is attacked before they take court security as seriously.'
