International firm DAC Beachcroft has laid off staff in its London and Leeds offices, following a consultation at the start of the year.

In its London commercial investment and development team, one senior associate, one associate, and two secretaries have been made redundant. Three other employees have been redeployed in the London office.

Meanwhile, one solicitor, one associate and two legal executives have been laid off in the Leeds-based real estate team. A paralegal and an administrator have been redeployed.

The redundancies follow a consultation in January. A spokesperson for the firm said: ‘The review we were undertaking of certain areas of our real estate team in London and Leeds has concluded. We endeavoured, wherever possible, to help those individuals whose roles were at risk find new positions within our firm, and we are pleased that this was possible for some of our colleagues.

‘This is never an easy process to go through and we want to thank those individuals who have been affected by this consultation for their understanding and cooperation as we have made these necessary changes to our teams. We wish them all the best.’
