Raciest deal: City firm Clyde & Co has acted for Speedcar International on the soon-to-be launched Speedcar Series - a new motor racing competition featuring 24 drivers competing in identical cars without electronic aids. The firm advised on commercial contracts, trademarks, sponsorship and intellectual property.


Most oriental deal: National firm DLA Piper acted for China Eastsea Business Software on its Alternative Investment Market (AIM) listing, thought to be the first Chinese company flotation on AIM this year.



Armchair deal: Surrey firm Mundays acted for Roomservice Group in the sale of its furniture rental business to CORT Business Services UK. US firm Dechert acted for the purchaser.



Capital deal: London firm DG Law acted for Shared Value, a London-based capital markets communications consultancy, acquired by International Marketing & Sales Group for £2.4 million. South-west firm Bevan Brittan acted for the purchaser.



Softest deal: City firm Reynolds Porter Chamberlain advised Swedish paper products giant SCA on the sale of its Softis tissue brand to Italian tissue company Sofidel. Germany's Redeker Sellner Dahs & Widmaier acted for Sofidel. US firm Howrey advised SCA on competition issues.



Classy deal: Milton Keynes firm emw law acted for independent schools group Cognita on the purchase of Oakfields Montessori School in Upminster. South-east firm Thomas Eggar acted for the school.
