Diplomacy in raunchy action
The Law Society's international department has shown that years of diplomatic work have not gone to waste when replying to the German work experience applicant reported last week (see [2001] Gazette, 17 May, 12).
He took the Society's reputation as a liberal regulator too far in revealing on his CV that his interests included - and here we must again be discreet - enjoying sexual relations with well-endowed women.
In reply, the Society wrote: 'I am sorry that we are not able to offer you an internship.
However, I would like to suggest that you have a look at your CV again before sending it out to other organisations, as there seems to be an error under the extra-curricular activities that you may have overlooked.' That is, unless he's applying for a job at The Sunday Sport or 'Fantasy Channel'.
