DLA, Norton Rose lead bonanza with bumper results

DLA will this week become the latest top firm to unveil bumper results, with a 35% increase in profits per partner during the past year.These profits rose from 291,000 to 395,000, with fee income up 26% to 175 million.

It is thought City firm Norton Rose has also managed a 175 million turnover, a 25% rise, with average profits per partner up 37% to 527,000.

Meanwhile, Birmingham firm Wragge & Co has announced a 40% increase in turnover to 76.3 million, up from 54.5 million.

Average profits per partner, 257,000 last year, are expected to rocket by a similar amount once the figure is finalised.Bristol-based M4 firm Osborne Clarke has also announced a 40% turnover rise, from 35 million to 50 million - with the Bristol office's turnover up 30% to 26 million, the Thames Valley office (up 88% to 5 million) and London office (up 60% to 19 million) being the main contributors to the huge rise.
