Dream brief

Do law students around the world lie in bed at night, dreaming of working in the City of London? Does the hum of the photocopier, the smell of the coffee machine and ink of the paginator stir their souls? It would seem so if Leonid Lando is to be believed.

Mr Lando, a second year law student at Bar-Ilan University in Israel, recently won the first British Israel Law Association prize, which is to spend the summer working at City firm Berwin Leighton Paisner.

'I have always wanted to have the chance of working for a leading City law firm,' Mr Lando says, 'so winning the prize is like a dream come true.' Presumably he doesn't get out all that much.
