Eversheds honoured for Net gameshow as firms win awards
City law firms swept the board at the Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR) annual literature and Internet awards, with Eversheds winning the innovation award and three other firms recognised for best brochures.Eversheds won the award for its 'Life as a Lawyer' interactive gameshow.
The show, which is taken around student unions and graduate recruitment fairs, features three Eversheds lawyers acting out a typical legal scenario, with a compre asking the audience for input.
Michael Hunting, Eversheds' director of graduate recruitment, said: 'Many students do not know what being a lawyer actually entails and what sort of skills are needed.
This gameshow is a fun way of helping them to realise what the issues and skills are, and we have found it to be a very helpful recruitment tool.'The other winners were recognised for having the best brochures: Stephenson Harwood in the under 30 graduates category, CMS Cameron McKenna (30-80 graduates) and Clifford Chance (80 graduates plus).
The awards are judged by 12 final-year students from around the world.Victoria MacCallum
