International firm Eversheds Sutherland has announced 25 partner promotions, with 40% of the new cohort female. The firm announced 25 new partner promotions in its offices in the UK, Europe and Middle East – up from 23 last year – which will take effect from 1 May 2026. Of the new partners, 40% are female – compared with 52% last year.
The partner promotions are across corporate finance; commercial advisory; employment, labour and pensions; litigation and dispute management and real estate.
In December 2025, Eversheds Sutherland (US) announced six partner promotions, which took effect on 1 January 2026.

National firm Irwin Mitchell has also announced its latest promotions with 100 colleagues moving up to associate, senior associate, legal director and partner across the business.
Of those promoted to partner and equity partner, three quarters originally trained at Irwin Mitchell. The firm said it ‘highlighted its strong track-record in career development and progression with individuals able to build experience, capability and leadership within the business’.
All six of the new fixed share partners, whose promotions span commercial dispute resolution; real estate; medical negligence’ private client advisory and serious injury are women. The six new full equity partners work in commercial dispute resolution; medical negligence; family law and serious injury. A further 16 individuals have been promoted to legal directors, 41 will become associates and 31 will become senior associates.
All promotions are active from 1 May.
