Views of the Gazette’s editorial website have risen to more than 2 million a month – nearly 30% up on last year, independently audited figures have revealed. The number of visitors to the Gazette Jobs website has jumped by nearly 46%.

Latest figures from the Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC) show that, in January 2016, Gazette editorial had 2,003,613 page views, from 314,943 unique users. The page view figure was 29.69% up on the same month last year; the unique user figure 17.2% up.

Gazette Jobs also showed strong online growth, with 84,527 unique users in January – 45.9% up on last year – accounting for 735,457 page views, a rise of 23.09%.

The web viewing figures, combined with an audited weekly print circulation of 109,754, demonstrate that the Gazette has the largest ABC-certified readership in the UK legal press.

An ABC web audit verifies activity for a calendar month. It requires supporting data such as server log files which must be filtered to exclude invalid traffic. Invalid traffic includes internal usage and non-human activity such as programs which crawl the web to build search engine indexes.

Only valid web usage which complies with industry-agreed standards is counted for certification.
