There has been a recent change in the acknowledgment of service forms, which are sent out by the County Court with a divorce petition.

Respondents are now required to answer the question 'in which country are you: habitually resident? domiciled?I wonder how many members of the general public actually know where they are domiciled.

Even some readers of this publication might give an incorrect answer if they have never studied private international law.In some hotels, the registration cards ask guests in which country they are domiciled.
