The UK branch of charity Peace Brigades International (PBI UK) launched its Human Rights Defenders at Risk Fund at City firm Herbert Smith this week. The fund will be used to finance and deploy defence lawyers to work on human rights abuse cases in hostile environments such as Nepal, Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia and Indonesia.
