I salute you
In common with the rest of the profession, I am gratified to learn from Jillian Kay's letter (see [2000] Gazette, 17 August, 18) that Lord Irvine salutes those of us who undertake publicity funded work.
Her letter is also a most welcome clarification: I for one had stupidly mistaken Lord Irvine's salute for an altogether different gesture of a quasi-Churchillian nature.
