The SDT suspended the respondent, of Rosebank Chambers, Rosebank Parade, Yateley, Hants GU46 7RN, who practised as a sole principal, from practice for an indefinite period on 27 January 2000 for unbefitting conduct, in that he had delayed in complying with a direction made by the OSS relating to inadequate professional services; and he had failed to comply with a resolution of the Professional Regulation Appeals Sub-Committee as to the payment of counsel's fees.
In September 1984 the SDT reprimanded the respondent for a breach of the accounts rules and failing to deliver accountant's reports and a gross fees certificate in due time, and in July 1999 it imposed penalties totalling 7,000 on him for delay in applying for a remuneration certificate, failure to comply with assurances given to the OSS, delay in dealing with correspondence, and failure to comply with directions of the OSS in respect of two clients.
In the present proceedings the respondent was ordered to pay 2,629 costs.
