Keepin' it real with Danny B

One of the great plusses of being president of a local law society is that you get to rub shoulders with some of the A-list celebrities of the day.

Manchester Law Society president Michael Clavell-Bate must have thought he was to have such an honour when he heard that leader of the Staines Massive, Ali G, was to come all the way from the hard streets of Buckinghamshire to meet him.Unfortunately a gang leader who is in the public eye as much as Mr G is, very rarely leaves the ongoing street wars and drive-by shootings of the Home Counties for fear of 'having de tyres on me Ford Capri slashed' - so instead sent a double, who goes by the name of Danny B.Mr B was heard saying to Mr Clavell-Bate: 'It is a great moment when the leader of two posses can meet in this way and shake hands'.

Eversheds, the firm Mr Clavell-Bate works for, is allegedly taking action over the subsequent alleged theft of his presidential gong.
