Family law panel - second tier Following the announcement earlier this year of guaranteed enhanced rates for publicly funded work for members of the Law Society's children panel and the family law panel, the Society has been working on a second tier to the family law panel which would be open to family law panel members.It is proposed the criteria for the second tier will be based on set case studies and reports on actual cases undertaken in two topics from the following areas:l Children law - private;l Cohabitation;l Violence in the home;l Emergency procedures in ancillary relief;l Limited means cases;l Advocacy - ancillary relief;l Substantial asset cases;l Child abduction.The Society is seeking confirmation from the Lord Chancellor's Department that membership of the second tier will entitle solicitors to be eligible for guaranteed enhanced rates.
