Life support on Web site

A Nottingham solicitor has launched a Web site with the aim of allowing lawyers to exchange honest and unfettered information and opinions about their firms.Lawmonkeys is the brainchild of Graeme Cushion of Poppleston Allen, and is a noticeboard site where lawyers can share views about life in the law today.

There is no commercial intention behind it.It offers solicitors the chance to seek answers from other users to questions on firms, jobs, training contracts and education.

It also features a section for practical questions, such as salary queries and local housing prices.Mr Cushion said he created the site because the advice that lawyers really wanted was so hard to get hold of.

The need was there for access to information that is straight forward, accurate, untainted and not full of PR speak, he said.

He said he also wanted it to help law students entering the profession.LINK www.lawmonkeys.comAndrew Towler
