Membership of the Gazette’s LinkedIn group broke through the 2,000 mark this week – a rise of 1,000 so far this year.

The social networking group, which is open to all solicitors, features topical discussions on issues affecting the profession, as well as regular updates of all the latest news and blogs from lawgazette.co.uk.

Some of the current topics being hotly debated by the group include: how will high street firms be affected by alternative business structures?; should conveyancers be allowed to act on both sides of a transaction?; and does your firm answer the telephone before 9am, after 5pm and during lunchtime? The group, which launched in July 2009, now has 2,037 members. It is open to lawyers, and those closely connected to the profession. To join, visit the Gazette’s LinkedIn group.
