Westminster firm Lee Bolton & Lee (LBL) has merged with Holborn practice Brown Cooper Monier-Williams (BCMW) to form Lee Bolton Monier-Williams.

John Randel of BCMW and Peter Beesley of LBL will be joint senior partners of the new firm, which will advise on matters including charity, ecclesiastical, employment, commercial, intellectual property and media law. The firm also has a specialist railway property department.

Philip Sergeant, a partner from LBL, said: 'LBL had a lot of institutional and charity clients and we needed a more commercial input, which BCMW has provided. It has also boosted our employment and dispute resolution practice, which we think will be a growing area given the current financial climate.'
