I was very interested to read in the Gazette of 21 February two different views on the impact of HIPs, and the opportunities and threats for the legal profession. I have to say that to have any chance of preparing HIPs at any profitable level a firm must either be an estate agent or be hooked up with one. What a shame that ten years or so ago, when there was a move to take large numbers of solicitors into property selling, that the profession turned its back on the opportunity.
