Monkey business

That the legal profession has its fair share of drama queens is like saying bears can never find a Portaloo when they need one.

So the chance to tread the boards in a staging of 'Twelve Angry Men' (likely to become Twelve Angry Jurors in the interests of attracting women lawyers) is too tempting to resist.

The Tricycle Theatre in north London is putting on the two-night performance in December to raise funds for the next Tricycle tribunal play - a reconstruction of the Bloody Sunday inquiry (having done the Stephen Lawrence and Scott inquiries in the past).

And if this is not appealing enough for would-be thespians, the director, Jack Gold, is a veteran of 'The Naked Civil Servant', 'Kavanagh QC' and the last episode of 'Morse'.

Casting will be in September, and the first rehearsal will be in October.
