She is head of commercial law at British Energy and former head of legal and former company secretary at Nuclear Electric.

Last year, the firm recruited Derek Goodban from National Grid.KLegal, the UK law firm associated with big five accountant KPMG, has moved a step closer to reaching its target of 100 lawyers by this spring with the appointment last month of two partners and five solicitors (see below).

Colin Fergusson joins the corporate group as a partner from Stephenson Harwood.

Anthony Maton joins from Slaughter and May as a director, the equivalent of a salaried partner, in the dispute resolution group.

Mr Maton brings KLegal's number of fee-earners to 75.A high amount of activity in the west country: commercial property lawyer Peter Fox joins Bevan Ashford's Taunton office from Mitac Group, where he was an in-house lawyer and director.Private client and property solicitor Domenica Fazio has been promoted to the partnership at Devon and Somerset firm Milford & Dormor.

However, across the Pennines in Manchester, John Heppleston has joined Eversheds' property group from Field Cunningham & Co.In Hong Kong, Allen & Overy has appointed US securities lawyer David Johnson from US firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.

Alternative dispute specialist Mark Wilson has joined Kennedys' Hong Kong office - Skrine Thomas Sharrock - as a partner from Masons.

Helen Webster, previously at Newcastle firm Ward Hadaway, has moved south to join the private client department of Reading firm Blandy & Blandy.In Cardiff, Edwards Geldard has promoted two new senior associates: Kempton Rees in the commercial dispute resolution team and Sandra Davies in secured lending.
