Muscling in

This is one solicitor you do not want to mess with.

Marcel Apfel, an assistant at London sports law firm Max Bitel Greene, recently won the Mr Wales under-80kg (light-heavyweight) bodybuilding contest and the overall Mr Wales title.

He tells Obiter, tongue in cheek, that his physique is not down to hours of training but rather 'hauling files up and down the stairs of Max Bitel Greene's offices in Islington'.

Mr Apfel, who qualified for the British bodybuilding championships, is planning to move up to heavyweight next year, meaning that he might have to endure even more of his regular diet of protein shakes, chicken breasts and water.

'After winning the competition and the tough 16 weeks of dieting,' he confesses to Obiter, 'I rushed to the nearest Burger King and went large on a Double Whopper Meal.

Food never tasted so good.' We understand that his firm has been extremely supportive, and that in future, all prospective employees will be required to submit their maximum bench press and bicep size to be considered for interview.
