Quickview+, an electronic cost recovery and reporting tool, allows law firms to report on estimated Westlaw usage by client.


DPS Software has launched Team Quoter, a Web-based product that enables solicitors to provide potential clients with instant quotations without having to do the work themselves. Potential clients can go to a firm's Web site, select the service required such as the purchase of a property, enter details and click a button. Team Quoter automatically calculates expenses such as land registration and search fees, as well as the law firm's fees.


Stat Plus, the legal and professional office supplies specialist, has teamed up with EBS Digital to offer a remote transcription service. Law firm staff can dictate 24 hours a day, every day of the year and have their work transcribed by UK-based secretaries.


Workshare has launched a new Web site, www.metadatarisk.org, which acts as a content security resource for companies and individuals to help them evaluate their risk from sensitive information hidden in their content and learn how to protect themselves from exposure. The site includes best practices, assessment tools and a community forum to help assess metadata risk.


SRC has signed up outsourced transcription companies JPScribe and Voicepath to its hosted digital workflow service, based on the WinScribe digital dictation system.
