The Administrative Court is to take urgent steps to reduce delays in the listing and hearing of public law cases. Two more high court judges will be assigned to the court for the 2008 Easter and Trinity terms, with more deputy high court judges to be appointed shortly. The court is also considering extending the Administrative Court ticket to a number of other deputy high court judges. The measures were welcomed by the Public Law Project, which had threatened the Ministry of Justice with legal action over delays in the court.
