Race against time
I read of Alexander McCulloch's record response from the Legal Services Commission in Nottingham with interest (see [2001] Gazette, 5 April, 17).The LSC at Chester has put Nottingham to shame.
I submitted an application for prior authority in a criminal matter at 11.44am and received a response from Chester timed at 11.35am the same day.The office had reviewed and approved my application a full nine minutes before I had submitted it.Obviously the key to customer services these days is the possession of a time machine.
Or did the LSC simply forget to put the clock forward an hour on its fax machine?DD Lampard, Porter Dodson, Taunton, Somerset
