Ready for Waugh:

This is probably the only time this summer that an English cricketer will stand beside Australia cricket captain Steve Waugh with a trophy in his hand.

George Bretten of City firm Ashurst Morris Crisp was the lucky man, after his team won the Deloitte & Touche six-a-side cricket competition for an unprecedented third year in a row.

The Australian Test team guested at the tournament, with one player joining each six-a-side team; Ashursts had batsman Justin Langer.

Facing City law firm rivals Rowe & Maw in the final, Ashursts won with three balls to spare.
