Risqu CV off the mark

The Law Society's international reputation as a liberal regulator of foreign lawyers has perhaps been misconstrued in Germany, to judge by a young German practitioner's application for work experience received by the Society's international department.

At the end of a list of extra-curricular activities on his CV, including such wholesome activities as playing volleyball and 'participating in courses of modern economics', comes the admirably frank revelation that the lawyer likes - and here decency requires that we paraphrase - enjoying sexual relations with well-endowed women.

If this was an attempt to curry favour in a manly way, it was poorly directed, since the international department is staffed almost entirely by women.
