The sooner that the High and county courts are merged the better (see [2004] Gazette, 1 July, 1). This is something which I have been advocating ever since I bought my first gown and was forced to buy both the Green and White Books.
A unified set of procedures and forms cannot come too soon. However, will I still have the same rights of audience or will the bar try to scupper that?
