In a reply to a written Parliamentary question, Lord Chancellors Department minister Jane Kennedy said that six had been dealt with via a letter or a meeting between the judge and the presiding judge.

In the seventh case, Lord Irvine decided not to re-appoint a deputy district judge for a final possible year.

The department would not identify the judge.
