There is illogicality in Adrian Berrisford's assertion that it reflects badly on a candidate who uses more than one agency (see [2004] Gazette, 21 October, 39). For the situation he describes to arise, employers have to use more than one agency and agencies have to permit them to do so. Why blame the candidate? I have found employers and agencies to be realistic and non-judgmental about this. I would not use an agency that thought otherwise.
