Solicitec record profit
Case management specialist Solicitec has unveiled record annual results, with turnover up 15% to 6 million.During the past year, the company's award-winning product, SolCase, has been implemented in more than 50 new law firms.
More than half of these included Solicitec's Web tool SolCase Online, which allows clients to access the status of cases, costs to date and documents via secure access over the Web - it was the first such system to offer this when launched in 1997.Solicitec now boasts more than 8,000 users in 400 sites.
Recently the company won the contract to computerise the Solicitor's Office at the Inland Revenue (see [2001] Gazette, 12 July, 20).Solicitec managing director Mark Woodward said that while demand for practice management systems is reducing, the result of practices not replacing systems as frequently as they used to, the demand for case management systems continues to grow.He said: 'Case management has traditionally been seen as a tool for practices focusing on high-volume, low-value cases.
However, the flexibility of systems like SolCase means that everyone throughout a practice can now benefit from the installation of case management.'LINKS: www.solicitec.comNeil Rose
