Solicitor makes formal complaint of police assault
A female solicitor has made an official complaint over an alleged assault by an officer which was said to have taken place in a Thames Valley police station while she was trying to gain access to her client.
Lee Reed, a sole practitioner from Banbury, claims she was not allowed to see the juvenile - who was accused of assaulting a police officer - and was physically assaulted when she made an attempt to.'I was pushed twice hard on the left breast,' she said, 'and when I screamed "stop, you're really hurting me," another officer joined in the harassment.'Ms Reed lodged a formal complaint about the incident and said she will 'follow it through'.A police spokesperson confirmed that a complaint had been received and was under investigation by the Professional Standards Department.Andrew Towler
